MANAGER PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND QUALITY

Smarteq is currently searching for a Manager Product Development and Quality with location in Kista/ Stockholm.  The team consists of 12 employees in Sweden and in France. 

Since May 2021 Smarteq is a part of PCTEL Inc, a leading American company in industrial IoT and listed on Nasdaq stock exchange. 

The Role

Examples of tasks / responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the work within the product development department
  • Manage product development projects from start to finish
  • Be responsible for maintaining our high quality standards and drive our quality improvements and be the driver of our sustainability commitments
  • Manage and maintain the company management system, and make sure it fulfils the requirements of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, regulatory and customer specific requirements
  • Coordinate quality assurance tasks, fulfilment of regulatory and sustainability requirements within product development projects, in close collaboration together with the internal team, customers, and production partners
  • Coordinate and perform internal audits, second party audits at suppliers and be the company representative at third party audits
  • Coordinate the warranty and non-conformity process
  • Initiate and drive improvement work
  • Responsible for the product development team

Since PCTEL headquarter is in USA, customers are located globally, production partners in Asia, you will have international contacts and travel mainly within USA, Europe and Asia.

Your Experience  

To succeed in the role, we believe that you have the following qualifications

  • A degree in technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Minimum 5 years experience of hands-on quality management and/or project management
  • Experience from the automotive industry is highly valued
  • Knowledge and experience from ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, PPAP / IATF Core tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plan etc.), VDA 6.3 and 6.5, IMDS and auditing is a merit 
  • Knowledge in SharePoint and MS Office

Excellent Swedish and English written and verbal communication skills are important since you will have many contacts around the world. Additional language skills ​​are a merit.

You are a structured and well-organized person with a high driving force in order to create results and to encourage strong team spirit. You have a strong technical interest, and with a curious mindset you are driven by learning new things and to solve problems. The role is wide and versatile so it is important that you have the ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a wise way. 

The team works close to each other, and the atmosphere in the premise is professional and yet familiar. As a leader you must have good cooperation skills and communicate in an excellent way with different kind of people around the world.
